Robert Lewandowski to Decide His Future in April Amid Barcelona Uncertainty

One of the main uncertainties at FC Barcelona as the season nears its final stages concerns the future of striker Robert Lewandowski. The 37-year-old forward is entering the final months of his contract, which expires on June 30, 2026, and no renewal offers have been officially presented yet.
Lewandowski has maintained strong performances for Barcelona, contributing 12 goals and three assists across 26 appearances in all competitions. Despite his form, he appears in no rush to make a decision regarding his next move, opting instead to wait for the club’s presidential election scheduled for mid-March before entering discussions.
Reports indicate that Lewandowski has explored opportunities abroad, including a detailed meeting with MLS side Chicago Fire in December, which outlined how he could fit into their project. He has also received offers from clubs in Saudi Arabia, keeping multiple options on the table.
While outside opportunities exist, the veteran captain reportedly prioritizes staying at Barcelona, even if it means accepting a secondary role and a reduced salary. His loyalty and willingness to adapt reflect his desire to remain part of the club’s plans.
At present, no immediate decision is expected from Lewandowski or his representatives. The striker and his team are planning to wait until April to finalize where he will continue his career for the next season, keeping both Barcelona and international offers under consideration.
