AC Milan Lead Serie A’s Fine List After Costly Discipline Issues
AC Milan have emerged as the most heavily fined team in Serie A this season, with total penalties reaching €146,500. The figure places them well above every other club in the competition, highlighting a recurring issue that has followed the team throughout the campaign.
The latest sanction came after their match against Napoli, where the team was penalized €25,000 due to delays in starting both halves. This was not an isolated incident, as repeated lateness in returning to the pitch has become a consistent problem under the current setup, drawing increasing attention from league authorities.
These repeated infractions have significantly inflated the club’s total fines over the season. What makes the situation more concerning is that the issue appears systemic rather than accidental, suggesting a lack of discipline that continues to go unaddressed. The accumulation of penalties has turned into a notable off-field problem for the team.
In comparison, Lecce sit second on the list with €117,000 in fines, still considerably behind Milan. Even more striking, Milan’s total exceeds the combined fines of the bottom ten clubs, which together amount to €136,500. Teams like Sassuolo have incurred minimal penalties, while Como remain mid-table in the disciplinary rankings with far lower figures.
The situation has raised concerns within the club, as such financial losses are viewed as unnecessary and avoidable. Supporters are increasingly frustrated, hoping the team can resolve these basic organizational issues quickly and shift their focus back to performance on the pitch, where their ambitions in domestic competition remain the primary priority.
