Super League Best XI Dominated by Foreign Talent as Only Four Indonesian Stars Make the Cut

The 2025/2026 Super League season concluded with Persib Bandung securing the championship after collecting 79 points from 34 matches. The title was officially confirmed following a goalless draw against Persija Jakarta at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium. After the season ended, the league organizers announced the official Best XI lineup, which unexpectedly featured only four players from the Indonesia national football team.

One of the biggest talking points was the absence of Rizky Ridho from the defensive lineup despite his reputation as one of Indonesia's top defenders. Instead, the back line included Doni Tri Pamungkas alongside several standout foreign players. In goal, Nadeo Argawinata earned recognition after an impressive season with Borneo FC and was also named the league's best goalkeeper.

The midfield selection featured Thom Haye, while Beckham Putra strengthened the attacking trio alongside David da Silva and Mariano Peralta. Da Silva finished the season as the league's top scorer with 23 goals, while Peralta followed closely with 20 goals and later received the award for Best Player of the Season after his outstanding performances.
