Christian Pulisic's Future at AC Milan in Doubt After Contract Talks Stall
AC Milan are facing growing uncertainty over the future of Christian Pulisic as negotiations over a new contract have reportedly reached a standstill. Club owner Gerry Cardinale still sees the American star as a key figure for the team's long-term project at San Siro.
Pulisic remains under contract until June 2027, but his recent struggles in front of goal have complicated discussions about an extension. The 27-year-old has yet to score for Milan in 2026, creating concerns during talks between the club and the player's representatives.
Financial demands have also become a major obstacle in the negotiations. Pulisic currently earns around €4 million per season, while his camp is reportedly pushing for a significant salary increase closer to the wages earned by Rafael Leao and Mike Maignan.
His importance to the squad could grow even further if Mauricio Pochettino becomes Milan's next manager. The Argentine coach is believed to be one of the leading candidates for the job after the club's disappointing failure to qualify for the Champions League.
AC Milan are currently going through a major restructuring process both on and off the pitch following several leadership changes. Despite the uncertainty surrounding the club, Cardinale is still determined to keep Pulisic in Milan and continue working toward a new agreement.
