Switzerland beat Algeria 2–0 to advance to the Round of 16

FIFA World Cup Round of 16, Switzerland faced Algeria at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, with referee Faulcon Pérez officiating the match. In the first half, Manzambi went on a brilliant solo run and set up Embolo to score. In the second half, Ndoye added another goal, while Reid missed an open net. In the end, Switzerland defeated Algeria 2–0 to advance to the Round of 16.



In the 11th minute, Manzambi burst into the penalty area and cut the ball back, and Embolo finished calmly with a low shot to make it 1–0 for Switzerland.



In the 46th minute, an Algerian defender only partially cleared the ball, and Ndoye fired in a long-range shot to extend the lead.
