Juventus Face Setback in Pursuit of Tarik Muharemovic as Sassuolo Raise Asking Price
Juventus have encountered fresh obstacles in their attempt to bring Tarik Muharemovic back to the club, with negotiations reportedly slowing after Sassuolo increased their valuation of the defender. The deal, once viewed as achievable, has become more complicated as both sides remain apart on the transfer fee.

The Turin club are entering a new era under chief executive Giovanni Carnevali and are focused on strengthening the squad following a disappointing season that ended without qualification for the UEFA Champions League. With a Europa League campaign ahead, Juventus are looking to add quality and depth across multiple positions.
Muharemovic has emerged as one of the club’s priority defensive targets. Juventus hold a 50 percent sell-on clause from the agreement that saw Sassuolo sign the player permanently after an initial loan spell, giving the Bianconeri a financial advantage in any future transfer negotiations.

Early reports suggested Sassuolo valued Muharemovic at €30 million, meaning Juventus would effectively need to pay only half of that amount because of the sell-on arrangement. However, the asking price has reportedly risen to €40 million, increasing Juventus’ expected cost and making the transfer more difficult to complete.

Juventus are believed to have submitted an offer worth €15 million plus performance-related bonuses that could take the package to €18 million. Despite that proposal, negotiations have yet to make meaningful progress, leaving the future of the highly rated defender uncertain as the transfer window continues.
