Jurgen Klopp Opens Door to Germany Job as Talks With DFB Set to Begin

Jurgen Klopp has confirmed his interest in becoming the next head coach of the German national team and is preparing to enter discussions with the German Football Association (DFB). The former Liverpool manager revealed that he has regained his motivation to return to coaching after taking time away from the sidelines.
Germany are searching for a new manager following Julian Nagelsmann’s resignation in the aftermath of the team's disappointing exit from the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Their campaign ended in the Round of 32 after a penalty shootout defeat to Paraguay, extending Germany’s recent struggles in major international tournaments.
The DFB has acknowledged making contact with Klopp as part of its search for a successor. His willingness to consider the role has made him one of the leading candidates to guide Germany into the next phase of its rebuilding process.
Klopp explained that although he is enthusiastic about coaching again, the timing remains complicated because he is still under contract with Red Bull. Any potential appointment will therefore depend on ongoing discussions and the resolution of his current commitments.
After leaving Liverpool, Klopp admitted he needed time to recover from the physical and mental demands of management. Now feeling refreshed and ready for a new challenge, he appears increasingly open to taking charge of his national team in what would be one of the most significant appointments of his coaching career.
