Tottenham and Fiorentina Reach Agreement for Radu Dragusin's Permanent Transfer
Tottenham Hotspur and Fiorentina have reportedly reached an agreement for the transfer of defender Radu Dragusin during the summer transfer window. The deal is expected to begin as a loan before automatically becoming a permanent move once the Romanian international meets a predetermined number of competitive appearances with the Italian club.
The permanent transfer is valued at approximately £21.4 million, while Tottenham has also secured a 10 percent sell-on clause. This provision allows the Premier League club to benefit financially if Fiorentina decides to sell the 24-year-old defender in the future, protecting the player's long-term transfer value.
Reports indicate that both clubs have already reached a verbal agreement, with the remaining administrative procedures expected to be completed soon. Once the paperwork is finalized, Dragusin will travel to Florence to join his new teammates ahead of the upcoming season.
The defender's departure is part of Tottenham's busy summer rebuilding project under head coach Roberto De Zerbi. The club has strengthened several areas of the squad by signing experienced players on free transfers while also investing heavily in new defensive and midfield reinforcements through major transfer deals.
At the same time, Tottenham has balanced its spending by generating significant income through player sales. Dragusin is set to become the latest departure as the club continues reshaping its squad with the goal of building a stronger and more competitive team for the new campaign.
