Tomori Rejects Coventry Move Despite Uncertain Milan Future
Fikayo Tomori's future at AC Milan remains uncertain after the defender reportedly turned down a transfer to newly promoted Premier League side Coventry City. Although the Italian club is open to selling him this summer, the England international is not rushing to leave San Siro.
Tomori is no longer considered part of the plans under new head coach Ruben Amorim, despite being under contract until June 2027. AC Milan are hoping to recover part of the transfer fee they paid to sign him from Chelsea in 2021 by securing a permanent move during the current transfer window.
Coventry City were prepared to meet Milan's asking price, which is believed to be between €15 million and €20 million. However, Tomori decided against joining the club, believing the move would not match his ambitions at this stage of his career.
The decision reflects Tomori's careful approach when considering transfer opportunities. He is determined to wait for a club that offers the right sporting project rather than accepting the first available offer.
This is not the first time Tomori has rejected a potential transfer, having also turned down a move to Tottenham Hotspur in 2025. At 28 years old, the central defender remains focused on finding a destination that supports both his long-term ambitions and continued development at the highest level.
