AC Milan Close to Double Lazio Swoop with Teenage Talent
AC Milan are set to strengthen their squad further by signing Lazio youngster Lorenzo Calvani shortly after completing the transfer of Mario Gila. The two deals highlight the Rossoneri's strategy of adding both proven quality and promising young talent.
Lazio and Milan have already agreed on a deal worth €30 million for Gila, with the Spanish defender expected to complete his medical and finalize his move in the coming days. His departure marks one of the biggest transfers involving the Roman club this summer.
Calvani has also emerged as Milan's next signing after attracting interest even before negotiations for Gila began. The 18-year-old left-back is regarded as one of Lazio's brightest academy prospects and has impressed with the Primavera team.
Reports indicate that Lazio have accepted Milan's offer for the teenager, with the transfer expected to generate around £2.5 million for the club. The move is seen as an investment in Calvani's long-term development rather than an immediate first-team addition.
Once the deal is completed, Calvani is expected to join Milan Futuro, the club's reserve side competing in Italy's Serie D. The transfer reflects Milan's continued focus on securing talented young players who could play a significant role in the future.
