Raffaele Palladino has emerged as a strong contender to become the next head coach of the Italy national team following his departure from Atalanta. The 42-year-old manager is currently without a club, making him an attractive option as the Italian Football Federation continues its search for a new leader.

Italy's coaching search is reportedly being overseen by technical director Paolo Maldini, with Leonardo serving in an advisory role.
