Michael Olise Could Still Leave Bayern Munich One Day Despite Choosing to Stay
Michael Olise appears fully committed to Bayern Munich for the time being, but his long-term future could eventually take him elsewhere. A source close to the French winger has indicated that while Olise is happy in Munich, he remains open to experiencing a new challenge later in his career. For now, however, there is no indication that he is preparing to leave the Bundesliga giants.
Olise still has a contract with Bayern running until the summer of 2029, giving the club plenty of security over his future. The 24-year-old is reportedly focused on continuing his development and establishing himself as one of Bayern’s most important attacking players. His immediate priority is also believed to be helping the club compete for major trophies during the current campaign.
The possibility of a move became a major talking point during the 2026 summer transfer window, particularly because of strong interest from Real Madrid. Olise was repeatedly linked with the Spanish giants, with the speculation gaining further momentum after Florentino Perez was reported to have made the winger one of his potential targets.
Despite the attention from Madrid, Olise ultimately decided to remain at Bayern Munich rather than pursue a move to Spain. His decision underlined his satisfaction with life at the Bavarian club and his belief that staying put would provide the right environment for his continued progress. Bayern, meanwhile, retained a player who has quickly become an important part of their plans.
Real Madrid were eventually forced to explore other options after failing to land Olise. The club turned their attention to young RB Leipzig forward Yan Diomande and reportedly paid around €140 million for the 19-year-old. While Olise’s future could still become a major transfer story several years from now, his immediate focus remains firmly on Bayern, with a potential departure more likely to be considered only when the right new challenge emerges.
