Schalke 04 Bring Hwang Hee-chan Back to the Bundesliga on Season-Long Loan

FC Schalke 04 have officially completed the signing of South Korea international Hwang Hee-chan from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The 30-year-old forward will join the German club on loan for the 2026/27 season, with the agreement running until June 30, 2027.

Schalke have also secured an option to make the transfer permanent for a reported fee of €3 million. The move gives Hee-chan another opportunity to compete in German football after previously representing Hamburg and RB Leipzig, meaning he already has experience with the league and its demands.

The Royal Blues see Hee-chan as a valuable addition to their attacking options because of his ability to operate in several positions.
