​Chelsea Lead Race for Free Agent Dusan Vlahovic as Europe’s Elite Circle

Chelsea FC have emerged as the frontrunners in the race to sign Dusan Vlahovic, who is set to leave Juventus FC as a free agent following the breakdown of contract renewal talks. The situation has placed the Serbian striker at the centre of one of the most competitive transfer battles of the summer window.
Vlahovic originally joined Juventus from Fiorentina in 2022 for a significant fee after establishing himself as one of Europe’s most promising young forwards. During his time in Turin, he maintained a strong scoring record, netting 68 goals in 168 appearances, even if his output was less prolific than during his breakthrough spell in Florence.
Negotiations between Juventus and Vlahovic collapsed due to disagreements over financial terms, particularly salary expectations and signing bonuses. Reports suggest his demands exceeded what Juventus were willing to offer, ultimately leading both sides to agree on a separation despite earlier optimism about a contract extension.
With his contract now ending, several Premier League clubs including Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, and Everton have been informed of his availability. Interest has also been noted from clubs outside England, but the striker is believed to favour continuing his career in Europe rather than moving elsewhere.
Chelsea are currently in the strongest position, having maintained long-standing interest in Vlahovic since his Fiorentina days and already initiating contact with his representatives. With no transfer fee required and a clear need for attacking reinforcement, they are seen as having a strong opportunity, although competition from other top clubs means the outcome remains open.
