Antony Committed to Manchester United Amid Loan Rumors

Antony's agent, Junior Pedroso, has firmly dismissed recent speculation suggesting the Brazilian winger might leave Manchester United on loan. The 24-year-old, who joined United from Ajax in a high-profile £85.5 million move in 2022, has faced challenges in making a significant impact at Old Trafford. Despite a promising start, with three goals in his first three Premier League matches, Antony struggled to maintain that momentum, ending last season with only three goals and two assists in 38 appearances across all competitions.
Rumors had been circulating about a potential loan move to reignite his career, but Pedroso clarified Antony's intentions in an interview with Fabrizio Romano. "I see reports about potential exit on loan. Antony’s plan is clear: Manchester United," Pedroso stated, emphasizing that the player is focused on staying and succeeding at the club.
Antony returned to pre-season training on July 8th but has yet to feature in any of United’s friendlies against Rosenborg or Rangers. With competition from the likes of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, and Amad Diallo, Antony faces a challenging path ahead. However, United manager Erik ten Hag remains confident in the Brazilian's potential, recalling his early success and expressing belief in his ability to thrive at the club.
This declaration of commitment comes as United continues to navigate a busy transfer window, with various ins and outs shaping the squad for the upcoming season.
