Is Cyrus Margono Set to Join Indonesia’s National Team Under Patrick Kluivert?

Cyrus Margono, a goalkeeper currently playing for FK Dukagjini in the top division of Kosovo, is being closely monitored by SjoerdWoudenberg, the goalkeeper coach for Indonesia's national team. This has led to speculation that the young player might soon be called up by head coach Patrick Kluivert. Cyrus, who joined FK Dukagjini in February 2025, has been impressing scouts due to his skills and background, which includes Indonesian-Iranian heritage, despite being born in the United States.
The Indonesian national team, under Kluivert's leadership, is actively looking to strengthen its squad by recruiting talented players, especially those with dual nationality. Woudenberg's visit to Kosovo to observe Cyrus in action raises hopes that the 23-year-old could be part of Indonesia's national team soon. Although the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) has not officially commented on the situation, many fans believe that this visit could be a sign that Cyrus will be called up to represent Indonesia.
Cyrus, who holds both American and Indonesian citizenship, chose to become an Indonesian citizen at the age of 21. This decision makes him eligible to be called up to the national team without needing a naturalization process. As a result, Kluivert has the opportunity to bring Cyrus into the squad if he decides to do so, and it appears the goalkeeper's future with the team could be imminent.
