Persib's Unbeaten Streak in Liga 1: The Two Teams That Managed to Hold Them Back

Bandung secured their second consecutive Liga 1 championship in the 2024-25 season after Persebaya Surabaya drew against Persik Kediri in the 31st week of matches. With 64 points, Persib's position as the leader became unassailable by their closest rivals, Dewa United and Persebaya. The team accumulated 18 wins, 10 draws, and 3 losses during the season, making them the most consistent side in the competition.
Despite their dominance, there were two teams that managed to remain unbeaten against Persib. Dewa United held Persib to a 2-2 draw in the first round at Stadion Kapten I Wayan Dipta, and in the second round, they stunned the Maung Bandung with a 0-2 victory at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api. Similarly, Madura United also proved to be tough opponents for Persib, drawing 2-2 in the first round and then holding them to a goalless draw in the second round.
This season's victory marks a series of firsts for Persib, as they became the first team to win back-to-back Liga 1 titles, the first to secure the championship under a full-format competition, and the first to win the Liga 1 trophy in Bandung. Their consistent performances, coupled with the achievements against strong competitors, solidified their place in the history of Indonesian football.
