Ong Kim Swee on the Brink of Securing Persis Solo's Survival in Liga 1

Malaysian coach Ong Kim Swee has guided Persis Solo to the edge of safety in the 2024-25 Liga 1 season. After a crucial 2-0 victory over PSBS Biak in Jayapura, the team has climbed to 13th place with 35 points. This win places them just one victory away from securing their position in the top-flight league without relying on other teams’ results.
Persis Solo has two matches remaining against Dewa United and Persib Bandung. The team is determined to finish strong and ensure their survival. While the recent win brought a significant boost, Ong emphasized that the mission isn't over yet, and his players must stay focused to avoid any last-minute setbacks.
Regarding his future with the club, Ong remained non-committal. He explained that discussions about his contract will depend on the team's final league standing, as Liga 2 regulations do not allow foreign coaches. For now, his full attention is on helping Persis Solo avoid relegation and finish the season successfully in Liga 1.
