Persib Bandung Faces Heavy Fine Before Trophy Celebration

Persib Bandung has been slapped with a fine by the PSSI Disciplinary Committee (Komdis) just days before their highly anticipated Liga 1 2024-25 trophy celebration. The club was penalized a total of IDR 70 million due to disruptive fan behavior during their match against Barito Putera on May 9, 2025, at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium. The disciplinary action, announced on May 14, was based on two major incidents: bottle-throwing and the lighting of fireworks by fans during the match.
The first violation occurred when a spectator threw a bottle onto the field in the 89th minute, which led to a fine of IDR 20 million. This act was classified as a breach of PSSI's 2023 Code of Discipline, specifically articles 70(1) and 70(2), with evidence supporting the claim. The second offense involved the lighting of fireworks by Persib supporters in the West Tribune, resulting in an additional fine of IDR 50 million. The fireworks display was also deemed a breach of the same PSSI code.
Despite the fines, the team is set to celebrate their Liga 1 title in front of their home crowd next week. Persib's trophy presentation will take place on May 24, 2025, during their final match of the season against Persis Solo at GBLA Stadium.
