Persija Releases Eight Players, Including Two Indonesian National Team Talents

Persija Jakarta has begun reshaping its squad ahead of the 2025-26 Liga 1 season by officially releasing eight players. The first to be confirmed was veteran striker Marko Simic, who contributed five goals and two assists over the past season. Despite his age, Simic still saw significant game time, although not always as a starter.
Following Simic’s departure, the club announced that four foreign players would also be leaving: Ondrej Kudela, Maciej Gajos, Ramon Bueno, and Pablo Andrade. These exits reflect a broader effort by the club to revamp its roster, possibly to bring in younger or more strategic talent to better compete in the upcoming season.
In addition to the foreign players, three local names are also parting ways with the team: Syahrian Abimanyu, Muhammad Ferarri, and Resky Fandi. The departures of Abimanyu and Ferarri are particularly notable due to their experience with the Indonesian national team. Both players are still relatively young and have represented Indonesia on the international stage, making their exit a significant moment for both the club and supporters.
Despite their departure, Persija's management expressed appreciation and gratitude for the players' contributions. The club emphasized that these individuals will always be considered part of the Persija family and wished them success in the next stages of their careers. The emotional farewell highlights the bond between the team and its players, even as they prepare to embark on new paths.
