Mohamed Salah wrapped up the 2024-25 Premier League season with a historic milestone, matching the all-time record for total goal contributions in a single campaign. His final goal against Crystal Palace brought his season tally to 47, putting him on par with legends Alan Shearer and Andrew Cole. What sets Salah apart is that he achieved this feat in a 38-game season, while the others did so during a 42-game format.
Over the course of the season, Salah scored 29 goals and provided 18 assists, demonstrating his consistency and influence in Liverpool’s attacking play. This dual-threat capability not only matched long-standing records but also highlighted the evolution of his role beyond just goal-scoring. He had already surpassed the 38-game season contribution record in mid-April, further solidifying his elite status in Premier League history.
Salah also claimed the Golden Boot for the fourth time, outpacing nearest rival Alexander Isak by six goals. Although he fell just short of breaking the assist record, his 18 assists still earned him the Playmaker Award for the season. He led this category by a wide margin, with Jacob Murphy trailing behind at 12 assists.
In the final match of the season, Salah added one more goal to his tally but missed the chance to break the assist record. Nonetheless, his overall performance this season stands among the greatest in Premier League history, showcasing his enduring quality and confirming his legacy as one of the competition's all-time greats.
