Udinese Renews Pursuit of Jay Idzes with Improved Offer
Udinese has reignited its interest in Jay Idzes after initially struggling to meet Venezia's asking price. The Indonesian international is seen as a key target to replace Jaka Bijol, who recently moved to Leeds United for €22 million. Negotiations had previously stalled, but Udinese has now increased its offer in hopes of securing the 25-year-old defender.
Idzes has also drawn attention from other Serie A clubs such as Torino, Lecce, Sassuolo, and Pisa, though none have made formal bids so far. Venezia’s sporting director confirmed that no official offers had been received for any of their players, including Idzes, despite growing transfer speculation.
While the transfer saga continues, Idzes remains fully involved with Venezia’s pre-season preparations. He recently featured in a friendly match against Real Vicenza, coming on as a second-half substitute during an 8-0 victory, showing his ongoing commitment to the club.
With interest intensifying and Udinese now showing more willingness to meet the demands, a move for Idzes may materialize soon. However, until an official bid is accepted, his future remains uncertain as other clubs continue to monitor the situation.
