Persib Coach Dismisses Dewangga Exit Talk as Mid-Season Transfer Rumors Heat Up
As the 2025-26 Super League season approaches its halfway point, speculation about player movement has begun to circulate, and one of the hottest topics involves Persib defender Alfeandra Dewangga. Reports suggested that the 24-year-old could be loaned to Bali United for the second half of the campaign, fueling discussions about potential changes within the squad. With the transfer window nearing, such rumors have gained momentum across the league.

Persib head coach Bojan Hodak addressed the situation directly, clarifying that the talk surrounding Dewangga’s future holds no substance. He emphasized that the defender remains an important part of the team’s current plans and continues to be relied upon to fill the left-back position. The coach dismissed the rumors as part of the usual noise that emerges whenever the mid-season window approaches.

Dewangga’s situation has drawn attention partly because he struggled for playing time earlier in the season. For nearly half the campaign, he spent most matches on the bench, watching his teammates compete while waiting for an opportunity to prove himself. His limited appearances led many to believe that a loan move might be on the horizon.

However, his fortunes began to shift recently. He earned a full 90-minute appearance against Madura United on matchweek 14 and later featured in the second half of a rescheduled match against Borneo FC. These performances were considered promising by the coaching staff, helping him regain trust and reestablish his place in the squad’s rotation.

With Dewangga showing improved form, Persib appears to have little intention of letting him leave. Thus far, only Wiliam Marcilio has been confirmed to exit the team before the first round concludes, and that decision was made based on performance reasons. As for Dewangga, the club has made it clear that he remains part of their plans despite the growing swirl of transfer rumors.
