Juventus Eyes Summer Move for Tonali, Considers Loan for Guido Rodriguez

Juventus is reportedly prioritizing a major transfer move for Newcastle United’s Sandro Tonali in the summer of 2026. According to Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the Bianconeri intend to conserve their budget during the upcoming January window to ensure they have the necessary financial strength to secure the Italian international at the end of the season.
To address their immediate needs without overspending, Juventus is exploring a short-term solution in the form of a loan for West Ham United midfielder Guido Rodríguez. The 31-year-old Argentine would provide experienced cover in the holding midfield role, allowing the club to maintain competitive stability while keeping their primary funds reserved for Tonali. This strategic "bridge" reflects Juventus’ long-term planning under their current management.
In addition to midfield reinforcements, Juventus is also monitoring Real Madrid’s rising star, Gonzalo García. The 21-year-old forward, who famously scored the winner against Juventus in the 2025 Club World Cup, is viewed as a prime target to bolster the frontline. A potential deal could mirror the structure of Nico Paz’s move to Como, where Real Madrid would retain a buy-back clause. By balancing low-cost loan deals in January with targeted high-value investments in the summer, Juventus aims to complete a comprehensive squad rebuild throughout 2026.
