Persebaya Unveils Gustavo, Bruno, and Jefferson to Energize Squad at GBT Stadium
Persebaya Surabaya officially introduced three new signings ahead of their match against Malut United at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium. The event drew thousands of fans eager to see the club’s latest additions, signaling a fresh boost to the team’s lineup.
The players presented were Gustavo Fernandes, Bruno Paraiba, and Jefferson Silva. Each was welcomed onto the pitch individually alongside head coach Bernardo Tavares, wearing Persebaya’s iconic green jerseys. The introduction highlighted the club’s intent to strengthen both defense and attack.
Bruno Paraiba retained the number 83 jersey, the same number he wore at his previous club, while Jefferson Silva was assigned number 17. Gustavo Fernandes, newly arrived in Surabaya, has yet to receive his official squad number, reflecting his recent arrival in the city.
In terms of roles, Gustavo Fernandes and Jefferson Silva were recruited to reinforce the defensive line, covering central defense and fullback positions. Their presence is expected to bring stability and resilience to the backline.
Meanwhile, Bruno Paraiba was brought in to enhance the attacking options, adding pace and creativity to the front line. Collectively, these three signings demonstrate Persebaya’s strategic effort to balance defense and offense as the team moves forward under Tavares’ leadership.
