Juventus and Dusan Vlahovic Still Far Apart in Contract Talks
Juventus FC are expected to continue negotiations with Dušan Vlahović over a new contract, but significant differences remain between both parties. The Serbian striker reportedly wants to stay in Turin, although an agreement has yet to be finalized.
Juventus ended their 2025/2026 Serie A campaign with a dramatic 2-2 draw against Torino FC in the Derby della Mole. Vlahovic scored twice to give Juventus a strong advantage, but Torino fought back through Cesare Casadei and Che Adams to rescue a draw.
The disappointing result forced Juventus to settle for sixth place in the league table, meaning the club will compete in the Europa League next season instead of the Champions League. The outcome has increased pressure on the club to make important decisions during the upcoming summer transfer window.
One of the main priorities is resolving Vlahovic's contract situation before uncertainty grows further. Reports suggest Juventus have offered the striker a two-year extension until 2028 worth around six million euros per season, along with additional bonuses.
However, the gap between both sides remains difficult to close. Vlahovic is believed to be seeking a salary closer to eight million euros annually, while Juventus are reportedly unwilling to go beyond seven million euros, leaving negotiations at a delicate stage heading into the summer.
