RB Leipzig Cash In as Suleman Sani Moves to Al-Qadsiah

RB Leipzig have officially parted ways with young winger Suleman Sani, who has completed a move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Qadsiah during the summer 2026 transfer window. The 20-year-old attacker leaves Germany without making a senior appearance for Leipzig, bringing an unexpectedly short chapter with the Bundesliga side to an end.

Al-Qadsiah have reportedly paid €8 million for Sani, allowing Leipzig to make a €3 million profit on the player. The German club signed him from Slovakian side AS Trencin for €5 million during the winter transfer window earlier in 2026. Despite spending time training with the first team, Sani was unable to break into Leipzig's matchday plans.

Sani had shown promising potential during his time at AS Trencin, making 24 appearances during the first half of the 2025/26 season. He contributed three goals and four assists while demonstrating his versatility across the attacking line. However, his playing style was considered less suited to Leipzig's approach, ultimately leading the club to approve his departure after only a few months.

The move to Saudi Arabia now gives Sani an opportunity to continue his development and gain more regular first-team football. At just 20 years old, the versatile forward still has plenty of time to establish himself at a higher level, while Al-Qadsiah will hope his attacking ability can add greater depth and creativity to their squad.

Al-Qadsiah will become the fourth club of Sani's career. Before arriving in Saudi Arabia, he played for Akwa United in Nigeria, AS Trencin in Slovakia, and RB Leipzig in Germany. His latest transfer marks another major step in his young career and could provide the consistent playing opportunities he was unable to secure in Leipzig.
